Friday Finds

Friday Finds, news from the week…

Christopher Knight reviews Hammer’s exhibition, “Take It or Leave It: Institutions, Image, Ideology,” saying the museum “does a good job of surveying the field” of art from the 1980s that has been critical of institutions or deals with appropriation. (I’m adding this one to my to do list!)

Art history geek out with “10 Amazing Data Visualizations of Creativity and Art History” from Lorne Monk’s “You Are Here” at Freight + Volume.

Two of my favorite comedians, Paul Rudd and Jimmy Fallon, battle in the Tonight Show‘s first Lip-Sync Off.

Rajan Narayanan is incorporating yoga (with an emphasis on breathing) into medical practice. The article ends with a beautiful quote. When discussing their experience at the end of Dr. Narayan’s 4-day yoga course, “Almost every person used the word inspired.”
